Beware of Scams

We are writing to inform you that there are people who are trying to impersonate ShyftUp and use our brand name, logo, and address to fraud people by pretending to recruit for ShyftUp.

To safeguard your privacy and data, we are providing this notice and providing some steps you may take to help protect yourself.

The scam works by impersonating our company, ShyftUp. They would reach out to you and introduce themselves as our representatives. They would usually claim that they are our subsidiary company.

The scams work like this: the fraudster would send you an unsolicited message. They would ask you if you need a job. If they have successfully engaged you, they would ask you to register an account on their website with your phone number.

After that, they would ask you to create a cryptocurrency wallet account, claiming that the crypto account is an important tool to send you your future paychecks. However, they will ask you to send a specific amount of money to your crypto wallet account to activate it and make sure it is working.

Later on, you will discover that your money is gone and you won’t be able to access your account anymore. They would also stop communicating with you and will never respond to your messages.

At ShyftUp, if ever we need to hire new employees, our recruitment processes never require applicants to send any amount of money in any form and on any platform. We sign contracts with all of our employees. We don’t make any payments through cryptocurrency wallets.

After a thorough investigation, we learned that they are using UK & NL phone numbers, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • +31645015384
  • +31645889931
  • +31616239472
  • +447932594739
  • +447756063117
  • +447593152673
  • +447354065918
  • +447561214697
  • +447743594821

Aside from phone numbers, they also use similar sounding and looking websites, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • www.uk-www.shyftup.com

We are not affiliated with the websites and domains mentioned above. We also don’t use any phone numbers listed.

Please don’t respond to any suspicious emails, phone calls, or texts from people claiming to be ShytfUp. If you see anything that you don’t understand, something is suspicious, or you believe you receive a fraudulent message, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are more than happy to help.

Please be vigilant against scammers related to this incident..

Sincerely,
